Wood Butcher Tool Sales
WBTS, at the discretion of the tool owner, can conduct a free evaluation of machinery and tools in the prospective client’s workshop. At the conclusion of the initial visit, a determination can then be made to proceed with the sale or not. If the decision is made to move forward, WBTS with the agreement of the homeowner will determine a date and time for a tool sale. WBTS will then work in four phases to ensure a successful sale for the owner.
STEP 1: Photograph all major machinery and specific power and hand tools to attract a strong customer turnout.
STEP 2: Staging all machinery and items for sale in a uniform and presentable manner for potential buyers to easily view.
STEP 3: Individually price all machinery, power tools, and the majority of hand tools.
STEP 4: Actual Sale
The sale day is normally a 3-4 hour sale and is held on a Friday or Saturday morning to attract and draw a large volume of customers. WBTS has a current customer base of 1000+ tool buyers who are emailed all sale photographs and descriptions of items prior to the sale. The Craigslist tool site for the Kansas City area also sends duplicate information. All sales are conducted on a cash basis only, with purchasers responsible for the disassembly and loading of any and all machinery and tools.
For any sale to be successful, there needs to be a good mix of not only woodworking machinery but also power and hand tools. The main goal is to attract as many customers to the sale as possible. If you have a garage or basement workshop full of woodworking machinery and hand tools that are just taking up space…there is a solution.
